THE IDEA
What if you could search for a home based on whether it’s within your favorite restaurant’s delivery zone?
After four moves without a nearby Jimmy John's, my husband’s favorite sandwich shop, I decided to design a feature that could prevent this minor tragedy from happening again.
My husband just wants to live near a Jimmy John's
THE FEATURE
This concept for Realtor.com lets users:
Search by business or restaurant (e.g. "Jimmy John's")
Highlight listings within the delivery radius
Display a "Delivers Here" bade on the map and listing card
Add a filter toggle for delivery zone inclusion

WHY IT MATTERS
Most home search tools focus on schools, commute times, or crime stats, but personal happiness matters too.
Proximity to your favorite comforts, like a specific coffee shop or takeout spot, can genuinely influence day-to-day quality of life.
This is UX that puts delight and real-life habits at the center of search.
MY ROLE
I identified the problem, imagined the feature, and designed the UI mockup.
All inspired by a real-life frustration in my household.
Idea and concept origin
UX design and mockup
Created based on a real recurring frustration in my own life
Not every UX idea needs a business case. Some just make life a little more satisfying.
